Job Overview

China Harbour Engineering Co. is urgently hiring a QA/QC Material Engineer for a large-scale, high-profile infrastructure and construction project in Dubai, UAE. This role serves as the key focal point for all material quality assurance, inspection, and system compliance, ensuring project materials meet both client and international standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the QA/QC Manager

  • Control, implement, and verify the Project Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Prepare contract-specific Quality Plans, control procedures, and work instructions

  • Review quality deliverables of vendors and subcontractors

  • Perform material quality control and inspection to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards

  • Act as the main focal point for all material-related quality issues

  • Report and document all quality activities, audits, and inspection outcomes

  • Maintain strong communication and build a healthy relationship with the client and internal teams

  • Ensure compliance with international material testing, standards, and control procedures

  • Support quality audits, material verification, and testing coordination


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Material Science, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 4+ years of professional quality management experience (mandatory)

  • Middle East infrastructure or construction project experience preferred

  • Strong expertise in:

    • Quality Control & Inspection

    • Quality Assurance & Quality Management

    • Quality Auditing practices

    • Materials testing technologies and compliance

  • Excellent command of spoken & written English

  • Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams

  • Strong client relationship skills and ability to resolve quality concerns

  • Should maintain good rapport with the client and ensure clear communication on quality matters


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large infrastructure or construction projects

  • Familiarity with Middle East quality compliance frameworks

  • ISO 9001 or other Quality Management certifications advantageous

  • Experience working directly with government or municipal clients is a plus
